ZuluSCSI V1.2 is a SCSI HDD & CD-ROM emulator, which can be used as a drop-in replacement for any legacy SCSI hard drive, CD-ROM drive, as well as other types of SCSI block devices.
By default, ZuluSCSI direct/raw passthrough mode is enabled, which results in the ZuluSCSI V1.2 to present the entire SD card as a single SCSI device, with the device type and SCSI ID defined by a rotary knob, and DIP switch.
By moving DIP switch #2 to the "OFF" position, ZuluSCSI V1.2 behaves identically to ZuluSCSI V1.1 and ZuluSCSI RP2040, and uses image-based files to represent hard drive/block devices.
- ZuluSCSI speaks both SCSI-1 and SCSI-2.
- 50-pin internal IDC SCSI ribbon cable connector.
- SCSI 50-pin internal IDC connector (8-bit Single Ended)
- Maximum read speeds with ZuluSCSI V1.2 can be up to 4.5 megabytes/second, with a sufficiently-fast SCSI controller.
- Supports both synchronous and asynchronous SCSI transfer modes.
- ZuluSCSI uses the same SCSI command handling code as SCSI2SD V6, compatibility with nearly all devices that speak both SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 is extremely high.
- The four M3-sized mounting hole dimensions are identical to those found on the bottom of any 2.5" hard drive, meaning you can use most commodity 2.5" to 3.5" mounting brackets/adapters to mount ZuluSCSI.
- Identical dimensions and mounting holes as that of SCSI2SD V5.1, V5.2, and V6, making it compatible with many existing SCSI2SD-specific mounting solutions.
