This dual-channel Serial ATA PCI expansion card allows you to add Serial ATA 1.0 (1.5Gbps) support to most PCI-equipped desktop computers. One M.2 SATA connector and one 2.5" SATA+Power connector allow you to attach a 2.5" SSD or rotational hard drive directly to the card, without the need for any external power cables. Power is drawn directly from the PCI bus.
The Silicon Image SiI3112 PCI chipset used in this PCI SATA card is widely supported by a variety of operating systems, including DOS, Windows XP, Windows 95/98 via the vendor-supplied drivers, as well as Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, amongst others.
The boot ROM shipped with the board is the Silicon Image reference PC bootable ROM. The included 4 Mbit flash memory supports boot ROM images of up to 524,288 bytes.
Includes 128GB M.2 SATA SSD, and metal PCI mounting bracket.
